“ Yay for us! It was spaghetti night when we passed through Murphy and stopped at the Waffle King. Our waitress sold us on spaghetti, and she was right as it hit the spot! We both got half portions of spaghetti with a tossed salad. And then we ordered a strawberry waffle for dessert! We would definitely stop again when in town. ”
“ Tonight we were treated to a two am dining experience with two of our favorite employees at the Murphy NC Royal Waffle King without anyone else in the restaurant. We shared pleasant small talk and experienced top tier customer service from this husband and wife duo as we have every time we have visited this, our favorite restaurant in town since I moved here six years ago. Amy is super sweet and bubbly and Billy makes one heck of a Texas Cheesesteak melt and an equally fantabulous Sausage Egg and Cheese breakfast sandwich. Between the cozy Christmas atmosphere of this chilly evening and the intimate dining experience with two seasoned customer service pros, we had an amazing meal. Everyone else who works here is equally professional and genuinely nice. They all deserve a raise this holiday season. ”
“ Blown away by how good the food was here. Everything was cooked to order so it was hot and fresh but it came out so quickly I'm still trying to figure out how they did it. All of the servers were super friendly, too. We went at an off time so we didn't have to wait but it was still busy, and I can see why ”

“ Awesome Service! Walked in on a very busy Sunday Morning, was immediately served. Placed a takeout order for 4 big meals, food was brought out to me in about 10 minutes so very fast service. Waitress was friendly and polite. Even offered to help carry the food out and it was raining. Food was very good! Very home style and southern. Well prepared, very tasty. We all enjoyed it and recommend to anyone looking for great food and great service and fair prices! ”
“ Wonderful, quick food. Artfully cooked, and they even have nice presentation, considering it's just diner food. My hamburger steak was EXCELLENTLY cooked. Even though it wasn't the highest quality meat, I would have loved to see the cook do it again with some 100% lean beef chuck! Also, they serve Belgian waffles here, which are way better than Waffle House. Side note: very clean and good-smelling bathrooms. ”
